The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all players in the sports league have access to uniforms that meet their needs and allow them to participate fully in games and practices. This policy applies to all players and participants, and must be enforced by coaches and staff. The league will make reasonable accommodations to meet the needs of all players and will not discriminate based on any protected characteristic.
Policy
All players must wear a uniform that meets the requirements of their sport and is approved by the league.
The league will provide guidance on standard uniform for all players, which will include (either individually or in combination) a jersey, pants/shorts, socks, shoes, hats, gloves and other equipment. The league will provide other equipment if required on an as needed basis with written notification and approval.
Players who require modifications to the standard uniform due to physical, medical, or religious reasons may request an alternative uniform. The league will make reasonable accommodations to provide an alternative uniform that meets the player’s needs and complies with league and sport rules.
Players who do not wear the standard or approved alternative uniform will not be allowed to participate in games or practices.
The league will not discriminate against any player based on their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
The league will provide equal access to uniforms for all players and will not charge any additional fees for alternative uniforms.
Participating Programs and their staff will ensure that all uniforms are clean, kept in good repair, and are returned at the end of the season. Players will be responsible for maintaining their own uniforms and replacing any items that are lost or damaged. Multi-purpose shirts may be kept by participants unless otherwise notified.
The league will make every effort to ensure that all players have access to uniforms that meet their needs and allow them to participate fully in games and practices.
Any participating programs, their staff, coaches and/or players who violate this policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the league.
